Semiotics

Semiotics, also called semiotic studies or semiology, is the study of sign processes (semiosis), or signification and communication, signs and symbols, into three branches:

Semantics: Relation between signs and the things to which they refer; their denotata
Syntactics: Relation of signs to each other in formal structures
Pragmatics: Relation of signs to their impacts on those who use them

We have spent 2 privet study lessons working on are radio. We have re recorded the intorduction and the "what coming up" then we recoded us talking about are subjects and why we were doing this. We have also managaed to put in the song "we got a feeling" by the black eye peas. This is a really good song and it is focused on the years 10 & 11.

Next week we are trying to finnish recording. We will have 2 songs, intrduction, 60 seconds news, radio outtake and some banter from the crew.

today we found that not all are work had saved. When we found this we tryed to recover them. In the end we gave up and started again. I found this very hard to work becuase some of are best work was saved there. We had tor re record are intrduction. I was told off for saying 'H' wrong. we did not save because it was not are best of work.

5/10/09 making the "what's coming up"

We made a great start after making the jingle. It is really good after we have the intrduction by me and the the what is coming up by jennie. I think this works well because of the different tones in the voices and the change of sex. i really like the feel to the intro. The slowgon is amazing, "This is your SJDJ Show" i think this sound great and really shows what type of audeince we are going for. The audiences i feel we are appeling for in the years 10, 11 and sixth form students. I think are show is coming to gether.

'SJDJ Show' last week this week

last week me, sam, jennie and jack managed to make are jingle. I think it is really got and it was great effort by everyone. We also made a time line which will be changed over time when it starts geting aspects of the show ready.

this week we are planning to make "what's coming up" we will also be comferming the songs which will be getting played and the SJDJ show. I am really exsited about are radio station and i think it is going to be great.
